How company bike leasing works.

The Deutsche Dienstrad platform allows you to lease your dream bike in just a few digital steps. It connects employees, employers, and dealerships and ensures smooth leasing processing. What's more, it's completely free of charge.

Every company has an individual registration link for employees. Your employer or the person responsible for bike leasing at your company can find this link on the platform's homepage after logging in. Feel free to ask them for it if you are not yet registered.

If you’re unable to log in, there may be one of two reasons:

1. You haven’t registered yet.
   Please contact your company’s Dienstrad contact. They can send you the registration link.
2. Your password is incorrect or you’ve forgotten it.
   No problem. Simply click “Forgot password” and follow the instructions to set a new one.

The Dienstrad platform is our digital ordering portal, where employers, employees and bike dealers can find all relevant information about Deutsche Dienstrad. Once you have chosen your dream bike in the online shop or at your preferred local dealer, you can order it quickly and easily through the platform. Here’s how it works:

1. Choose your dream bike in the online shop
2. Get approval from your employer
3. You will receive an email as soon as your Dienstrad is ready for collection from your preferred dealer
4. The handover of your Dienstrad is confirmed digitally at your preferred dealer
5. Start riding and enjoy it — for commuting or personal use

To keep your data confidential and protect it from unauthorized access, the following measures are taken, among others:

User accounts must comply with current password guidelines (8 characters or more and 4-of-4 requirement: at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one item, and one special character) and include an automatic session timeout.

The company-specific platform domain is virtually impossible for anyone outside the company to access due to its https-encrypted connection and additional integrated hashtag. If desired, employees can only register based on predefined email domains.

The platform is linked to a user-specific account, which allows order activities to be tracked individually.

Compliance with data protection requirements and technical and organizational measures in accordance with the GDPR.

In principle (unless otherwise agreed with your employer in the framework agreement), all bikes with a retail price between €749 and €11,900 including VAT can be used as a company bike. This applies to both classic bikes and e-bikes.

Absolutely! Whether you use it to get to work or to travel with your family, you can use your company bike for both business and private purposes. Unlike with a company car, there is no minimum usage requirement, no additional costs for private trips, and no requirement to use the company bike on your way to work.

The company bike inspection is an annual check of your bike at your preferred local dealer. The inspection is carried out in accordance with an inspection list (available for download), includes all relevant checkpoints, and is based on the recommendations of the German Federal Guild Association for the German Two-Wheel Mechanics Trade (BIV) and the VSF.

The inspection is optionally included by the Employer when selecting the company bike. Please note: Unfortunately, it is not possible to add this to your bike at a later date.

In addition to the inspection, we also offer our premium FullService package. This includes inspections and all standard wear and tear repairs and replacement of wearing parts. There are no restrictions on use, and you can redeem the budget for inspections and wearing parts as you wish.

In addition to the bike itself, your employer can also provide you with leaseable accessories. However, this is only possible if you select the accessories together with your bike. Accessories cannot be added at a later date. Our information sheet shows which accessories are leaseable. These can include lights, pannier racks, Mudguards, and child seats, as well as bags and locks.

Comprehensive insurance for your company bike covers the costs of damage caused by any of the following: – Theft (including burglary), including mounted components and batteries, as well as robbery – Damage caused by: › (traffic) accidents › Vandalism › Damage caused by falling or crashing › Operating errors – Damage to or destruction of batteries and electronic motor and control devices A detailed description of all included services and the components of the mobility guarantee can be found in the information sheet on comprehensive insurance for company bikes, including travel insurance.
